Magento & D2C Tech Lead

Position Overview:

This position is for ITC Foods Business, but the professional will be employed with ITC Infotech Limited and put on the ITC Foods Business Project.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Magento Tech Lead for our D2C program to join our dynamic team. As a Magento & D2C Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our e-commerce platform, ensuring its efficiency, scalability, and overall success.
Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding and mentoring our development team while driving innovation in our e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee the development of Magento-based e-commerce solutions, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance optimization.
2. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
3. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of e-commerce concepts and practices to create seamless shopping experiences for our customers.
4. Customize and extend Magento's core features and functionalities to meet specific business requirements and goals.
5. Configure and customize the Magento platform to meet client-specific e-commerce needs, including product catalog setup, payment gateway integration, inventory management, and order fulfillment workflows
6. Work on consolidation of multiple D2C tech solutions to target Majento D2C platform
7. Create and modify front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, React, Angular) to enhance user experiences.
8. Develop and maintain Magento extensions, optimizing their performance and compatibility with the platform.
9. Maintain a thorough understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components.
10. Ensure efficient e-commerce data organization and manage relationships between data entities.
11. Expertly handle web services integrations, including REST and SOAP, to seamlessly connect our platform with external systems.
12. Magento Certification and experience in ERP integrations with Magento are highly desirable.
13. Implement caching and scaling techniques to enhance website performance and speed.
14. Work on multi-store, multi-lingual, and multi-currency e-commerce implementations to cater to diverse customer needs.
15. Experience with cloud hosting solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) is preferable for optimizing scalability and reliability.
16. Familiarity with Magento Commerce (on-prem/Cloud), BI Pro, and Order Management is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of PHP web development experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of real-world e-commerce experience with Magento development with a deep understanding of Magento's functional capabilities and e commerce best practices
• Competence in PHP object-oriented programming and MVC applications.
• Proficiency in MySQL-based database concepts.
• Solid knowledge of modern HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, React, Angular).
• Thorough understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components.
• Expertise in authoring and extending Magento extensions.
• Thorough experience in customizing Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.
• In-depth knowledge of vanilla Magento feature set and configuration.
• Competence in e-commerce data organization and relationships.
• Competence in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery.
• Competence in web services integrations (REST/SOAP).
• Magento Certification is a significant plus.
• Experience in ERP integrations with Magento is a significant plus.
• Experience with caching and scaling techniques.
• Experience in multi-store, multi-lingual, or multi-currency e-commerce implementations.
• Working experience on Magento Commerce (on-prem/Cloud), BI Pro, and Order Management is an advantage.
• Experience with Cloud hosting solutions is preferable, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure
